In the Summer and Fall our Rivers are loaded with Pacific Salmon species that include; Sockeye Salmon, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, Coho Salmon and Chinook Salmon. All of these fish mentioned can be targeted by either spin fishing or fly fishing. Fly fishing is definitely the most popular method of fishing in our area. Our waters are great for teaching children how to fish because of easy access and high rate of catch. Nothing is more special than seeing a child’s eyes light up with excitement after a long hard battle with a willing combatant! Trout in our area can reach a staggering 30 LBS and Salmon can grow in excess of 60 LBS. It is common to see Trout ranging in size from 5 – 10 LBS and Salmon 5 – 30 LBS depending on Species.
