Another Fantastic Pink Salmon Fishing Season in the Books
With another successful pink salmon season we would like to thank our valued clients and customers for their continued support. This year had its challenges with the river clarity issues, but we were still able to put lots of fish in the net. Below we’ve mixed in a few pictures of this year’s smiles, happy clients and a few beautiful pink salmon.
Another Fantastic Pink Salmon Fishing Season in the Books. The pink salmon run this year was one of the best I have ever witnessed being a lifelong resident to the sea to sky corridor. Never in my life have I seen a river so full of Pinks till mid-October. It has been absolutely mind blowing. From what I understand most of the coastal streams in British Columbia were and are experiencing that exact same thing.
On another note
Typically I’m not one to get involved in politics but, This year we noticed a drastic increase in fishing pressure. Personally, myself and others would love to see some other waters open to help spread out the pressure. I see zero science based evidence that would support closing the lower sections of both the Mamquam and Cheakamus Rivers, yet they remain closed. This year alone I saw numerous sections of rivers where pink salmon were so thick, that they were spawning on top of each other. It was a historical return!
