Brad Knowles fishing guide

Brad Knowles

The man to see if you want to catch fish!
Brad was born and raised in Pemberton, British Columbia Canada. As a young boy, the small town of Pemberton didn’t offer the youth many things other than great fishing. So every waking moment Brad would be seen fishing the local rivers and lakes on a daily basis. In 1976 his father opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop .  Both are very avid in hunting, camping and most of all … fishing. Everyday people from all over the world come in and get the local scoop, buy their gear and be off to catch fish.

Later on Brad’s local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon he ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years he stared in his own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. Brad has made a name for himself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, “The Family Business”.  Brad loves working with his brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Also he has been a member of the fisheries committee for Pemberton Wildlife Association – they help make local decisions on local fisheries. Brad’s ability to catch fish makes him one of the Best Guides in Canada. He has a passion for fishing and seeing his clients catch fish!

Rick MacKay

I love Fishing all day, Everyday!

Rick has spent many hours fishing from the East coast to the West coast of Canada. In Ontario he remembers his first fishing experience was with his Dad catching Perch dinner off the break wall in Port Stanley Ontario. Rick spent his childhood chasing small and large mouth Bass, Perch, Walleye, and Northern pike all over Quebec and Ontario. It was always a competition with his friends to out fish the other.  In 2001 he moved west to Whistler and later to Pemberton BC to chase new species of Fish.  Rick spends every bit of money he makes Fishing (then some) chasing different species all over BC.  Rainbow Trout In the interior, Brook Trout in the Cariboo, Salmon and Steelhead on the Coast, and Bull Trout where ever he can find them. You won’t meet someone more focused on mastering the art of tricking fish into eating feathers and fur.

Jamie Stgermain fishing guide

Jamie Stgermain

A day out on the water should be fun and relaxing.

I started fly fishing on the elk river at 9 and never stopped fishing.  A day out on the water should be fun and relaxing.  You should enjoy your time out there in our back yard.  It always makes my day to see someone else enjoying what I have been able to do all these years.  Hopefully passing on some knowledge along the way.  Jamie enjoys sharing his passion with families.  He is the senior leader on our team and over the years has developed patient, effective and precise teaching methods for even the most advanced clients.  Once he warms up to you, he’s actually quiet a funny guy with endless stories and experiences.

Love Sharing my Knowledge with others.

Troy grew up on the shores of the Great Lakes fishing everywhere he could. Weather it was chasing Steelhead up the shores of many Lake Huron tributaries, jumping on the highway and bouncing along Lake Ontario tributaries, or planning his next trip south to USA to explore lake Erie tributaries, he was always in pursuit of the ultimate fishing destination. Troy moved to BC and found the ULTIMATE fishing destination. Troy specializes in gear fishing techniques, weather it’s trolling a lake, ice fishing, drift fishing, Centerpin fishing, jigging, he will be prepared to catch fish. Troy’s attention to detail and constant awareness of water temp, water levels, migration patterns, weather patterns is what make him successful. He’s the guy to ask about the latest and greatest equipment! Chances are he’s already used it. Troy’s also a red seal certified Chef, and can offer tips and recipes for your latest catch!!

Sennen Joseph

Sennen Joseph

Steward of The Land and has a Passion for Fishing!

My name is Sennen Joseph. Of the Squamish Nation. I moved to Mount Currie 5 years ago with my beautiful family.  I am honored to be the first Indigenous Fishing Guide in the Sea to Sky Corridor and I am excited to be joining the Pemberton Fish Finder Team. I have been hunting and fishing since a very young age and it has always been a passion of mine. It feels like it’s all lead up to this moment. Growing up on the Stawamus Reserve in Squamish BC, I would sneak off to the creek and stay there all day long. I have been self taught in most methods and have extensive knowledge of BC species of fish such as Steelhead, Coastal Cutthroat Trout, Kokanee, Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout and all Pacific Salmon species but my ultimate passion is getting hooked up on a nice Northern Coho Salmon!

Mitchell Keys fishing guide

Mitchell Keys

Fish Fear The Beard!

Mitch has become an avid outdoorsmen since moving out west from Ontario 10 years ago.  His father is a very good client of ours and would bring a young Mitchell fishing.  At an early age I could see there was something special about Mitch.  His ability to communicate and catch fish was extraordinary, due to this on every visit I told Mitch “one day you’re gonna work for me.”  Look at him now, he has worked hard and earned the top guide position.  Mitchell enjoys targeting all 5 Pacific Salmon, Steelhead and Trout.  So many species to choose from and there is always excellent fishing, no matter what time of year it is.  This is truly a a fishing paradise.  During the Winter months Mitch splits his ice fishing season with skiing and working for one of the many Whistler/Blackcomb ski shops.
