Mosquito Lake Fishing in Pemberton British Columbia
Mosquito Lake Fishing in Pemberton British Columbia. Mosquito lake provides Pemberton with Quality year round fishing for Large Rainbow Trout. Trout in this lake can grow in excess of 25″ and weigh as much as 5lbs. The lake is small in size which makes it great for float tubes, pontoon boats and shore fishing. There are 2 docks, a small campsite and a great trail that encompasses the lake. In the Summer months Mosquito lake also becomes a popular swimming and dog walking area. In the Winter months you can count on Thick Ice making it a great place for Ice Fishing, Skating and the occasional cross country skier.
Fishing at Mosquito lake is good throughout the day with the best being first light and in the evening. Although the shore fishing is good a boat will give you more options and allow you to fish more of the lake. While fly fishing Mosquito lake try using dragonfly nymphs, water boatmen, damsel nymphs, wooly buggers, doc spratleys, tom thumbs, chironomids and emergers. Spin Fishing will allow you to cover more water from the shoreline. While spin fishing try using small spinners, spoons and my favorite in this lake is the Fish Talk Zapper. The Zapper cast very well and can be tipped with bait for best results. Bait fishing is allowed in Mosquito lake and can also be very effective. Simply casting out a worm and bobber can result in numerous willing combatants it is also a great way to get fish on a hook for your children.
