Birkenhead lake Pictures of Fishing and Wildlife
Birkenhead lake Pictures of Fishing and Wildlife. Below are a few pictures of Birkenhead lake Provincial park and the Beautiful Trout and Wildlife that come from it. If you have never visited the Park this is a great time to visit because there is great fishing, camping, wildlife viewing, picnicking and a great network of trails. Worth noting, there is a family of Grizzly bears just before the park that have been viewed quite regularly. Best time to see these animals are first light and in the evenings. Although the picture I have of the Grizzlies near Birkenhead Lake is not the Greatest, if you click on the picture to enlarge you can see there is 2 in this picture. Do Not Approach the Grizzlies nor Feed them! View them from a safe distance and stay in your vehicle.
Mountain goats can be seen on the rock face behind the Boat launch and Dock. In the evenings Ospreys work the waters near Phelix creek. There are numerous Bald Eagles that can be seen throughout the day. Black Bears reside in the park so it is always a good idea to carry a bear bell or Bear pepper spray with you at all times. Bear pepper spray, bear bells, Maps and information about the park is available at Spud Valley Sporting goods ltd. in Pemberton, BC at 1380 Birch Street. The sports shop is open 7 days a week 9am – 6pm.
