2015 Pemberton Winterfest Kids Ice Fishing Derby Results.  We had a great turn out for the second annual kids ice fishing derby at One Mile lake in Pemberton, BC.  The weather and Postponing the event did not stop nearly 100 kids from enjoying a great Canadian past time.  Although there wasn’t a ton of fish caught, the ones caught were beautiful.  The fish had there pictures taken and then they were quickly released.  There was roughly 10″ of ice on One Mile the day of the event.  Two days prior to the event we received nearly 20 millimeters of rain so most of the other events scheduled for this day could not go on.  The Ice was wet so we ice fished off of the dock, so everyone stayed dry.  I think this contributed to the lack of fish being caught.  The only fish that were caught, were caught prior to the mass of children jumping up and down on the dock ;).
