2014 Whistler British Columbia Ice Fishing Pictures

2014 Whistler British Columbia Ice Fishing Pictures are provided by the Pemberton Fish Finder.  The ice fishing has been very good this year.  There is plenty of ice in the higher elevation lakes around Whistler and Pemberton, British Columbia Canada.  The warmer weather of late has created a slush layer on the ice.  We recommend  the use of Warm waterproof Boots preferably Ankle height or higher.  The warmer weather we have been having has made for enjoyable fishing.  Typically this time of year we would be ice fishing in weather between -5°c and -15°c.  The weather forecast for this weekend is calling for some cooler temperatures which should dry up the ice.  The forecast Below is provided by the Weather Network.

There is roughly 10″ of ice on each of the lakes that we have been Ice Fishing.  We have been getting quite a few phone calls about Ice Fishing Gates lake.  The Ice on Gates lake is not safe for Ice Fishing yet this year.  Just as the ice looks safe to fish on we get hit with another warm spell.  A couple of years ago we were unable to ice fish Gates lake.  This only makes the fishing in the Summer all that much better.   If you have any further questions about Ice Fishing in Pemberton or Whistler give us a call or info@pembertonfishfinder.com.
