Fishing Lillooet BC Seton Lake Fishing Report.\u00a0 Seton Lake holds some very good fishing opportunities from shore and by boat.\u00a0 The lake is about 22 km long and is held back by a dam at\u00a0 Lillooet, BC.\u00a0 The lake is natural in origin but was raised slightly as part of the Bridge River Power Project.\u00a0 The two main powerhouses of which are on the north shore of the west end of the lake near Shalalth.\u00a0 At the West end of the lake is the community of Seton Portage and the mouth of the short Seton Portage River. \u00a0Seton Portage River connects Anderson Lake on the farther side of the Portage to Seton Lake.\u00a0 Seton lake flows west to east and runs in to the Fraser River near Lillooet, BC.<\/p>\n

When Fishing in Seton Lake, fish near the tributaries that feed the lake or where the water exits the Lake.\u00a0 The lake has quite a bit of Glacial till.\u00a0 The glacial till comes from the hydro project located at Shalath where they take water from Carpenter Lake in pipes through the mountain and run it into Seton Lake.\u00a0 This is a very good spot to fish and the water is well oxygenated.\u00a0 This time of year the Salmon fry\u00a0start to emerge from Gates Creek on Anderson Lake and make there way to the Fraser River.\u00a0 Salmon Fry are a tasty treat for the Predatory Trout in the Lake.\u00a0 Once the Trout in Seton Lake become accustom to feeding on these fry, they can be fooled quite easily with the use of any minnow pattern, Streamer or Muddler patterns while fly fishing.\u00a0 Small spoons, Fraser River Rainbow plug and spinners also become very deadly.<\/p>\n

Fishing Lillooet BC Seton Lake Fishing Report<\/h2>\n

Seton Lake is a Great place to enjoy the day for a Picnic while doing a bit of fishing.\u00a0 At the Lillooet, BC end of the lake there is a Beautiful park with picnic tables, washrooms, boat launch and a great dock for getting a line wet.\u00a0 Below are a couple of pictures of the Dock and a Giant Bull Trout caught April 7th, 2013.\u00a0 The Bull trout was caught while using a small spoon.\u00a0 When fishing off of the dock you will want to fish near the bottom and retrieve slowly, be careful the bottom has a few snags and debris.\u00a0 I Highly recommend you use the Fish Talk Zapper<\/a> at this location<\/p>\n

As a young boy, the small town of Pemberton didn't offer the youth many things other than great fishing. So every waking moment I would be seen fishing the local rivers and lakes on a daily basis. In 1976 My Father \"Ivan Knowles\" opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop who were both very avid in hunting, camping and most of all ... fishing. Everyday people from all over the World would come in and get the local scoop, buy their gear and be off to catch fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, \"The Family Business\", I love working with my brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Also a proud member of the fisheries committee for Pemberton Wildlife Association - helping make local decisions on local fisheries.
