Birkenhead River Fly Fishing in Pemberton BC at its best. \u00a0Right now the Birkenhead river is in full flood from the Winter snow melt coming down off of the mountains. \u00a0It is not a good idea to be anywhere near the main flow of the River because it can be very dangerous<\/em>. \u00a0That being said the many side channels that are formed from the high water creates refuge for Trout. \u00a0Trout venture into these side channels to feed and take a break from the rapid and vigorous flow of the main stem. \u00a0These side channels contain lots of under cut banks, log jams and fallen trees that are great hiding spots for Salmon fry. \u00a0Large Trout also take advantage of these structures as ambush vantage points.<\/p>\n

As the temperatures rise and dip the water will rise and fall, our guides keep a close eye on the Birkenhead River this time of year. \u00a0When the Birkenhead River is in full flood it is difficult to fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish.
