Fly fishing Whistler BC<\/h2>\n

If you were thinking of visiting the Pemberton\/Whistler area for fishing, this is a great time of the year to do so. \u00a0Most of the streams and Rivers in the area have been fishing well. \u00a0During the past week of warmer than average temperatures we saw some pre-freshet run off. \u00a0Recently the temperatures have started to fall back into a typical range for this time of year. \u00a0This has brought the water levels and clarity back for\u00a0favorable fishing. \u00a0Rivers that have been producing are as follows; Ryan River, Birkenhead River and The Green River. \u00a0The Upper Lillooet \u00a0prior to the warm weather was fishing incredible. \u00a0With the warmer than usual weather, the Upper Lillooet River has become silty. \u00a0A couple days of cooler weather will have it fishing great again.<\/p>\n

Fishing Pemberton BC<\/h2>\n

The Local lakes in Whistler and Pemberton, BC are now free of Ice and have been fishing exceptionally well. \u00a0So, If you’re thinking of visiting Pemberton or Whistler make sure to bring your lake fishing gear along with you. \u00a0A few lakes worth checking out in Whistler and Pemberton, BC during April are as follows; Alta Lake, Green Lake, Mosquito Lake, Anderson Lake, Ivey Lake and one of my favorites is Lost Lake. \u00a0Lost lake this year has been producing some decent Rainbow Trout between 12″ – 20″ and can weigh as much as 2.5 LBS. \u00a0Lost lake is easily fly fished with small nymphs and wooly buggers. \u00a0The lake also has numerous docks and being that the water is still very cold, you will not be fighting over dock space with recreational swimmers and sight sightseers.<\/p>\n

In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. In 1976 My Father \"Ivan Knowles\" opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop who were both very avid in hunting, camping and most of all ... fishing. Everyday people from all over the World would come in and get the local scoop, buy their gear and be off to catch fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, \"The Family Business\", I love working with my brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Also a proud member of the fisheries committee for Pemberton Wildlife Association - helping make local decisions on local fisheries.
