Below we have posted a new Video about Ice Fishing Birkenhead Lake British Columbia Canada.\u00a0 Birkenhead Lake has some of the best ice conditions I have seen in years.\u00a0 There is approximately 8″-10″ of sound black ice on it as of January 28th, 2013.\u00a0 It is always a GOOD Idea to test the ice before walking out on to the ice, because Ice conditions can change rapidly.<\/strong>\u00a0 The fish caught in this video is a Bull Trout.\u00a0 I also caught a 14″ Rainbow Trout which I have zero pictures or video of because I released it quickly.<\/p>\n

When Ice Fishing Birkenhead Lake British Columbia Canada one has ample opportunities of catching trophy sized Bull Trout and Rainbow Trout.<\/h2>\n

Rainbow Trout grow to 10lbs and I have caught numerous Bull Trout in this lake in and around 15lbs. \u00a0 We caught this Bull Trout using one of the Most Deadliest Ice fishing jigs made by man, the Zapper<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 The Zapper<\/a> is sold at Spud Valley Sporting Goods ltd<\/a> and online at\u00a0http:\/\/store.spudvalley.com<\/a><\/p>\n

note: We only spent 2 hours exploring the Ice on Birkenhead lake in this video, we also had numerous hits.\u00a0 If you don’t have a boat this is a great time to explore the lake from other than its shores.\u00a0 It is about a 3km walk from the gate, I saw a few Cross Country ski tracks in and around the lake \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 It is amazing how quite it is at Birkenhead lake in the middle of Winter.\u00a0 I wish I had taken a few pictures to share with you.\u00a0 We also saw coyote, Wolf and Moose tracks on the trail into the lake and also on the lake. \u00a0 It gives you the feeling that you’re not alone.<\/p>\n
