BC Ice fishing reports and Ice conditions Blackwater Lake. \u00a0With all this crazy weather we have been having this Winter the Ice has been holding up very well at Blackwater lake North of Pemberton, BC. \u00a0The Ice fishing has been producing lots of Rainbow trout between 12″ – 22″ this year. \u00a0We have found that the best Ice fishing has been close to the shoreline near and in the weed beds. \u00a0Trout come to these areas to feed. \u00a0Blackwater lake is absolutely full of freshwater shrimp, this is the reason for there rapid growth. \u00a0The lake gets its name from its black appearance. \u00a0This darker appearance makes for some of the most colorful Rainbow Trout in the World.<\/p>\n
