Lost Lake<\/a> is a hidden jem in Whistler, BC being that it is out of the way and parking can be an issue.\u00a0 Ice Fishing Lost Lake Whistler BC Canada is another thing though, you can catch bucket loads of Rainbow Trout in this lake in only a matter of Minutes.\u00a0 Although I do not recommend keeping Bucket loads of fish from this lake, it would not take very long to fill one.\u00a0 The Rainbow Trout in this lake are very active feeders, this might be due to an over population of Trout.\u00a0 It is almost as if it is a race to see who can get the bait first.\u00a0 Just 2 days ago one of the Guides from Pemberton Fish Finder<\/a> was Ice Fishing Lost Lake Whistler BC Canada.\u00a0 He caught 15 Rainbow Trout in a matter of 2 Hours, 1 Rod, 1 Fisherman, Wow!\u00a0 He also stated ” I missed about 20 strikes in that time frame”.<\/p>\n

Ice Fishing Lost Lake Whistler BC Canada – Tips<\/h2>\n

When Ice fishing Lost Lake try fishing in amongst the weed beds located in the South West corner.\u00a0 There is a creek that leaves this corner of the lake.\u00a0 In the Summer month’s this corner is absolutely full of Tadpoles and Dragonfly Nymphs.\u00a0 Usually When a food source is there in the Summer it is also there in the Winter Months.\u00a0 Another Great spot on the lake is located half way down the East side, this spot is also know as “The Nude Beach”.\u00a0 In the Winter month, have no fear of seeing Nudes on the Beach because the beach is covered in snow.\u00a0 In lost lake I have noticed that the Trout like their bait motionless,\u00a0 I will occasionally move my bait but not like other lakes.\u00a0 The Trout in this lake hit like freight trains so have your rod in hand and be ready!<\/p>\n

Parking – Lost Lake Whistler BC<\/h2>\n

Parking is the only issue with Lost lake.\u00a0 The Village of Whistler suggests that you park in day lot 5 and catch the transit to the gate located at the entrance to lost lake.\u00a0 Once dropped at the gate to Lost Lake you have about a 5 minute walk “no big deal”.\u00a0 The walk is well worth it!\u00a0 If you have a friend in Whistler with a vehicle, you could have them drop you at the gate and skip the parking at Day lot 5 and the transit.<\/p>\n

As a young boy, the small town of Pemberton didn't offer the youth many things other than great fishing. So every waking moment I would be seen fishing the local rivers and lakes on a daily basis. In 1976 My Father \"Ivan Knowles\" opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop who were both very avid in hunting, camping and most of all ... fishing. Everyday people from all over the World would come in and get the local scoop, buy their gear and be off to catch fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, \"The Family Business\", I love working with my brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Also a proud member of the fisheries committee for Pemberton Wildlife Association - helping make local decisions on local fisheries.
