Ice Fishing Nita Lake Whistler, BC, Canada can be extremely fun.\u00a0 There are thousands of eager Rainbow trout in this lake just waiting for your hook to enter the lake.\u00a0 Although your not likely to catch any Rainbow Trout larger than 12″-14″, the lake will still keep you interested with its productivity.\u00a0 There is a Beautiful lodge located on the South end of the lake called Nita Lake Lodge<\/a>.\u00a0 This would be a very convenient place to stay after a day of Ice fishing, you could sit back in one of there Hot tubs and soak your tired arms while taking in the views of the snow covered mountains in Whistler.<\/p>\n

While\u00a0Ice Fishing Nita Lake Whistler, BC, Canada try fishing near the inflowing creek located on the North end of the lake.<\/h2>\n

Be careful not to get to close to the creek because the flowing water will create thin ice.\u00a0 A best bet would be to look for an area that has been already ice fished back from the creek and judge that as a safe distance from the creek.\u00a0 Never venture close to open water!<\/strong>\u00a0 A safer area is down at the dock in front of Nita lake lodge<\/a> there is approximately 10″ of ice here as of Jan 22, 2013.\u00a0 There is a nice weed bed and the Trout venture into the weeds in search of feed.\u00a0 Use bait while ice fishing Whistler on Nita Lake.\u00a0 My favorite bait to use is Worms but Powerbait and Shrimp work equally good.\u00a0 Some people like to sit their bait motionless near the bottom but I have had better success using a jig head or a Zapper tipped with bait.\u00a0 If you jig your bait you will attract more fish, it becomes a visual thing as well as spreading scent at the same time.<\/p>\n

In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable.
