Pearson Pond Fishing Report 2014. \u00a0Pearson Pond is located near Goldbridge, BC. \u00a0The lake was adversely affected as a result of a fire back in 2009. \u00a0It now has regained its lush shoreline and has been fishing very good. \u00a0The lake contains some of the best Brook Trout fishing in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. \u00a0Brook Trout in Pearson Pond can reach a staggering 8 lbs. \u00a0The lake is surrounded by an incredible weed bed and has a muddy bottom. \u00a0This is key for the survival of the native shrimp that live in the lake. \u00a0The rapid growth of the Brook Trout in this lake depend on these shrimp. \u00a0If you ever keep a fish from this lake you will notice the deep red colored flesh with the hint of shrimp taste.<\/p>\n

Pearson Pond Fishing Report 2014<\/h2>\n

While fly fishing<\/a> Pearson Pond you will want to work the shoreline. \u00a0The lake has a well defined drop off and gets rather deep toward the middle. \u00a0The use of chironomids comes well advised. \u00a0Simply casting a micro leech into the weed beds and retrieving will pay off. \u00a0Being that the lake is loaded with grass shrimp, don’t go to this lake without a shrimp or scud patterns. \u00a0Scud patterns can be effectively fished with both floating and sinking fly lines. The goal with either setup is to present the fly as close to the bottom vegetation or other structure as possible. \u00a0A slow, 5 to 15 cm long strip retrieve interspersed with regular 2 to 5 second pauses is a good imitation of the swimming action of shrimp. \u00a0Weighted shrimp patterns are very effective when used with floating fly lines.<\/p>\n

In 1976 My Father \"Ivan Knowles\" opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop who were both very avid in hunting, camping and most of all ... fishing. Everyday people from all over the World would come in and get the local scoop, buy their gear and be off to catch fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, \"The Family Business\", I love working with my brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Also a proud member of the fisheries committee for Pemberton Wildlife Association - helping make local decisions on local fisheries.
