First off I would like to thank all of the Children and Parents for participating in the 2013 Pemberton Winterfest Kids Ice Fishing<\/a> Derby. \u00a0 The Derby was a huge success being that we had nearly 200 kids out on the Ice, Fishing this weekend.\u00a0 Second of all I would like to thank those that helped me make this derby for the Kids a reality; Michelle Whitlock, Gary Whitlock, Melissa Knowles, Myles Lindgren – Thanks for getting all of the kids geared up and registered in on the draws.\u00a0 I’d also like to thank; Reg Walser at Pemberton Rona<\/a> for donating a bunch of Buckets so people could sit down.\u00a0 Pemberton Supermaket<\/a> – For donating the Bait that caught the fish in our fun event.\u00a0 Spud Valley Sporting Goods ltd<\/a> – for donating a bunch of lures and fishing rods for the kids.\u00a0 Last but not least the Pemberton Fish Finder<\/a> – for providing a safe, fun, rewarding and educational experience for families and friends.<\/p>\n

Although there were not a ton of fish caught this day, the children had tons of fun.\u00a0 One mile lake is not known as an Ice Fishing lake, to be honest I was a bit nervous going into the event.\u00a0 There was a total of 5 fish caught and the winner was a Whopper.<\/p>\n

Lets get down to business –<\/p>\n

Third Place went to Jack Haigimister, Jack reeled in a beauty Rainbow Trout and released it gently to grow some more.<\/p>\n

Second Place – Judd Haigimister – Judd and his brother Jack were a force to be reckoned with.\u00a0 They fished there hearts out, missing numerous bites but in the end little Brother Jack came out on top with this Giant Pike Minnow.\u00a0 Boy did she put up a fight!<\/p>\n

Pemberton Winterfest Second Place Ice Fishing derby<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

First Place – Brianne Josok – This Pretty little girl walks in with roughly 40 minutes left in the Fishing derby, with the look of determination in her eye.\u00a0 She asked for a little instruction, walks over to an abandoned fishing hole and 10 minutes later I hear her reel screaming out line.\u00a0 We got a quick picture and released this massive Cutthroat Trout.\u00a0 This picture is Priceless and represents what Ice fishing is all about! Congratulations Brianne.<\/p>\n

Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish.
