Ice Fishing Report For Whistler and Pemberton British Columbia Canada. \u00a0Ice conditions are the best we have had in years. \u00a0With all of our lakes that we do tours on having more than 10″. \u00a0A couple of the lakes have over 18″ of Ice. \u00a0 Lakes that have been Ice fishing<\/a> best in the Whistler area are Nita Lake, Alpha lake and Lost Lake. \u00a0Lost lake has been producing lots of Rainbow Trout between 12″-17″. \u00a0That is a great size for eating. \u00a0The lakes in Pemberton tend to have larger Trout. \u00a0Larger Trout usually are a bit tougher to catch but when you do they sure make a great Photo. \u00a0Lakes in Pemberton that have been fishing well are Blackwater Lake, Echo Lake, Mosquito Lake, Birkenhead Lake and Gates Lake. \u00a0Both Birkenhead lake and Echo lakes are going to be a bit tougher to get into since the snow we have had in the past couple of days. \u00a0Birkenhead lake also has a couple of open water spots in the lake where the creeks feed the lake. \u00a0I recommend going to the lake with someone that knows the lake well before venturing out on the ice. \u00a0The ice can become very thin in areas without warning on Birkenhead lake. \u00a0The rest of the lakes in Pemberton have very safe ice. \u00a0It is always a good Idea to stay away from moving water while ice fishing. \u00a0Always check the ice thickness regularly when visiting a new lake. \u00a0The Pemberton Fish Finder<\/a> can eliminate all of your worries about Ice fishing. \u00a0We will provide a Safe, Fun, educational and rewarding experience for your whole Family and Friends.<\/p>\n

Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. In 1976 My Father \"Ivan Knowles\" opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop who were both very avid in hunting, camping and most of all ... fishing. Everyday people from all over the World would come in and get the local scoop, buy their gear and be off to catch fish. Later on My local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon I ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years I stared in my own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. I have made a name for myself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, \"The Family Business\", I love working with my brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Also a proud member of the fisheries committee for Pemberton Wildlife Association - helping make local decisions on local fisheries.
